BRDB is playing an active role in ensuring easy and timely availability of credit to the farmers through the two-tier co-operative system. The farmers are also given necessary guidance for effective use of credit in order to ensure increased agricultural production. Since inception BRDB disbursed an amount of Taka 7442.99 million as short-term credit against crop production, out of which an amount of Taka 5735.14 million has already been realized as against due for recovery amounting to Taka 7331.24 million. The recovery is 77%.
